Bland ISD has partnered with DialCare

Bland ISD continues to take measures to create a safe school environment for our students. The District has added another layer of security that focuses on mental and behavioral health. The DialCare program provides a safe, secure and private platform for students to seek help from a licensed mental or behavioral health specialist via a virtual counseling session. This is a preventative approach to providing students help with mental health disorders such as depression, grief, addiction, eating disorders, and more.

With parental consent, students can schedule an appointment by app, website or phone. A counselor will then reach out by phone or video chat for a 30 minute counseling session. Three-way conversations are available for parents and guardians who prefer to be involved in the conversation. These services are offered seven days a week between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m.

The DialCare program is not replacing the District’s counseling services. Bland ISD has two counselors on staff; Charity Morris, high school, and Darcie Rochester, elementary and middle school. Our counselors are here to help our students develop their academic, career, personal, and social abilities.
