     Just a reminder about attendance for Bland Middle School. Attendance is extremely important
for your student’s academic success so it is very important that students are at school every day and on
time.
     Doors open at 7:15am. The bell to release students to their first period class rings at 7:40am. The tardy
bell rings and the back doors are locked at 7:45am. Students are to be in their first period class no later than 7:45am. 
If your student is a car rider and it is 7:45am, the student must be dropped off in the front of
the school and the parent/guardian must come in with the student and sign him/her in.

     Attendance (absences as well as tardies) along with grades are figured together when determining
whether a student can be exempt from a semester exam or not. We ask that you keep their absences to a
minimum. However, if they are ill, please keep them home as to not spread anything around and a note
must be turned in no later than 3 days after your student returns to school in order to make the absence
excused. Notes can't be accepted after 3 days.
